I am a new teen driver

Congratulations! You are ready to start driver’s training. These are the steps that will guide you from the beginning to the end to get your Driver’s License:

Step 1

Take and pass our state approved Driver’s Education course.

Step 2

After you passed our Driver’s Education course you will receive a Certificate of Completion of Driver’s Education. This certificate is also known as a pink slip.

Step3

Take your Certificate of Completion (pink slip), and birth certificate and or US passport to the DMV and fill out a DL44 form in order to take the Permit Test.

Step 4

Take your written Permit Test.

Step 5

After passing the Permit Test, you will receive a Driver’s Permit from the DMV (white permit).
*Note: You must own a Driver’s Permit to drive with an instructor, parent and or guardian.

Step 6

Now call Premier Driving School to schedule 6 hours of behind the wheel training.

Step7

After the 6 hours of behind the wheel training you will receive a Certificate of Completion (gold certificate) from us.

Step 8
Now you are ready to take your Driver’s License Road Test!

Special Notes for Step 8:

  • You must own your Permit (white permit) for 6 months from the date of issue before you are eligible to take your Driver’s License Road Test.
  • You must drive 50 hours with a parent and or guardian, 10 hours must be nighttime driving.
  • Bring your Permit (white permit) and Certificate of Completion (gold certificate), valid registration, and car insurance for your vehicle to the DMV to take the Driver’s License Road Test.

Premier Driving School can provide a vehicle for the Driver’s License Road Test and a 1-hour lesson before the exam.
